Backstory: In 2020, I embarked on a courageous journey from Kyiv to Turkey, despite my complete lack of knowledge in the English language. In Turkey, my primary focus was on learning English rather than Turkish, which led me to connect with English and Russian-speaking communities.
However, in the summer of 2022, I came to the realization that it was time for a change. Without a command of the Turkish language, I found my prospects for personal and professional development in Turkey to be limited. This realization prompted me to make a life-altering decision—to seek a new country, one where the need to learn an additional language would be eliminated.
I yearned for a country where English was widely spoken, a place where I could embrace perpetual summers, be surrounded by the sea, feel a sense of safety, thrive in a stable economy, and most importantly, be recognized and valued as an individual. I craved a land of boundless opportunities—a country and city that resonated with people worldwide, unlike my previous experience in Turkey, where the city of Kusadasi might not be widely known.
With 193 countries to choose from, the options seemed dauntingly vast. However, one city stood out amidst the multitude—Dubai. Dubai is a city where people of all ages, from children to adults, converse effortlessly in English. It is a multicultural hub where diverse nationalities coexist, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich traditions and experiences of different cultures. In Dubai, both English and Russian languages are highly valued and appreciated.
